[He can almost hear that iron gate fall in her, that brief moment where something threatened to get through her defense, but harsh reality slamming its portcullis down with reckless abandon.

Adell's voice becomes more serious, but still remains calm.]

...Didn't always. Didn't always understand why it was all worth fighting for, the memories. But it was the memory of a lot of people here... and two very important individuals to me back home that really got me to get it. Two important people I'll never get back, never see again... but will remember, always. And I'll be damned if someone tries to take them from me again.

[He pauses, reflects for a very brief moment.]

...I don't believe that the world is set in stone, either. Don't believe in destiny. Fate. Predestination, whatever you want to call it. And the world often sucks, doesn't make any sense, and just isn't fair. And a lot of people leave it at that, but who wouldn't want it better, a world where things are more fair? Honest? And most importantly, a world that you can forge your own future in?

Well, sometimes you just have to force it to change for the better. But it doesn't always take an arm strong enough to shatter rock to move the earth. Sometimes all it takes is the will of one person to make all the difference. The will of one to lead many, the will of one to inspire, the will of one to never give in.

If you want to remember things, your experiences, your life here... then you have to change the world too. Even without strength of arm... if you have the spirit, you'll be every bit a part of that change as anyone else.
