[Written/Accidental Voice]

[Fenimore is still not very adept with the journal system, so she spent about ten minutes trying to turn on the voice feature before eventually giving up. Unbenownst to her, though, she actually did turn it on, so the following is a mixture of voice (normal text) and written (italics).]

[sigh] This isn't working. Shirley will know. I'll ask her later. Now where did I...?

[A few moments later, printed words appear. They look pretty unpracticed, being both slow and somewhat messy. Strikes are basically scribbled out, but since she didn't put much effort in people can probably read them with a little effort.] Is there someone named Can I talk to Charlotte, I have something for you.

...Did that work? Hmm. ...Oh, yeah.

I also have If someone lost a hat [There is a pause, with a couple of inkdrops falling on the page.]

[After a moment, she picks up Seles's hat and turns it around in her hands.] What should I call it? I can't say it looks like a pancake....

brown, ridic round hat, I have found it.

...Good enough.

...So it's better to not bring it when you don't want to be heard, huh?

Well, if you do that, it's hard for people to reach you if they need to... I try to keep mine in a bag; that helps too.

People managed it just fine back home and this place doesn't look that much bigger.

A bag might be a good idea, though. Did you make one or find it?

I found it in one of the shops, actually... I can sew, but not that well.

I see. It'll probably be easier to look in the shops. Making a bag for it from scratch sounds like too much work.

I suppose so... [She makes a thoughtful noise.] Ah, but... you know... it could be fun, working on a project like that.

Fun...? [She sounds a little doubtful. She's always viewed sewing as a chore.]

Well... if you made it yourself, it could be any style you like... [She smiles brightly at the journal's camera.] And it's very satisfying, being able to make something yourself.

[Fenimore can see Shirley's point and feels a bit immature for not being able to view it that way, but she's going to try to cover it by waving a hand dismissively.] Well, I guess it'd be better than trying to scrounge for something around here. But I don't know if it'd be worth it.
