[So, Fenimore has been hermiting away in House 34 for the past few days. She really isn't liking where the village was going. Okay, so there are spiders and rats (bats are okay, assuming they didn't learn about the myth of flying into people's hair). Okay, so there are ghosts everywhere (even if she'd so far been safe from pranks, since Grune was a very good source of the candy they demanded). But mostly.........it's foggy.
It sounds silly to say, but that's the part that spooks her the most. A couple of years ago, things went pretty bad when it got misty, so she's feeling extremely jumpy. Of course, holing up in House 34 really hadn't worked for her at that time, even with Shirley around to help, and she'd rather abandon ship completely, but right now, she's the only one left to look after Sophie. And Grune. Maybe the latter even more so. So she's going to have to suck it up.
But then Grune's unstoppable thirst for baking has started to empty the fridge and Grune's attempts at shopping were often...less than successful. If it was just her, she'd honestly prefer to go hungry than venture out into the foggy village, but Sophie is a little kid and shouldn't be made to go without. So, it is time to gird her loins and....
...ask the village for advice.]
[Voice]
Hey. [She sounds rather subdued compared to her normal.] Has anyone...seen anything strange around? I mean -- not the ghosts or anything. Well, maybe the ghosts. Are they really just asking for candy? [She's not really sure whether she'd have to worry about them if she goes out during the day, but she hasn't exactly investigated about them, either.]
But...what I meant was...seeing things that aren't there, or...hearing things in the mist. That sort of thing. It's just...it's not usually this quiet around this time of year. [You know. Draft aside. But she hasn't heard much about that yet.] I wasn't sure if it was really safe to go out right now.
[Okay, that should do it. Although....] ...Thanks, I guess.
[Okay, now done.]
[Action]
[Late in the afternoon of the 30th, she'll have finallyrun out of milk worked up the nerve to go out, so she can be found trying to make her way to the grocery store. It's not always a smooth journey, though. Aside from the rats and spiders on both ways, it starts to get dark before she manages to get all the way back -- such is what happens when you put things off too long -- and ghostly activity picks up. Now that she's not in the house that gives away so many treats, she is a fine target for pranks. Pranks which include (but are not limited to) invisibibly picking her up by her grocery bag until her feet start to leave the ground, kicking wildly. Ghosts, man. Bad business.]

[Late in the afternoon of the 30th, she'll have finally
[Action]
Oh, yes. Can I try next?
[Action]
If you help me down, you can try as much as you want! My arm's stuck! [Indeed,
as was supposed to be in the post but I erased it without noticingthe shopping bag handles have gotten twisted around her arm. Under normal circumstances, it wouldn't take even a second to undo, but she's not exactly in her prime untangling state.][Action]
[Completely unaware of Fenimore's annoyance, Grune ambles over to wrap her arms around Fenimore's body. She then gives a gentle tug.]
[Action]
Er...you're going to have to do it a bit harder than that.
[Her thought process slowly meanders up and begins to ponder what will happen to her arm, pulled between the floating grocery bag and a harder tug from Grune. Wait a sec -- ]
[Action]
[Action] except her expression is more like shirley's here
[Luckily, the invisible ghost is not holding her up so firmly as to make this too much a stretch on her arm, so her voice is not especially loud or sharp. But she is wincing.]
[Action] The ghost is Fenimore. :|b
Oh, my. Are you all right?
[Action] I forgot what I had written so this confused me in my inbox. But yes.
[Though at least it wasn't hurting now.]
[Action] ...And then I got confused reading what I'd written, too. Context, man
[She eases up on her tugging--so much so that now she's not making any progress at all. Whoops.]
[Action] A lesson against leaving tags too late.
Could you just...try to reach up and untangle me from this bag?
[Action] ...Learned as I respond five days later....
[She looks up and--oh, Fenimore is tangled up in her shopping bag. How surprising!
She keeps one arm around her friend and uses her free hand to try to work her free. The ghost responsible for this mess probably thinks this is hilarious. :|]
[Action] Five days? Psh. Child's play!!
...Which are cut off when her arm comes loose and now she is just held up by Grune. Hope that Grune is prepared for the unexpected weight! (Even if it's probably not much, since, let's face it, Fenimore is a short person from Melfes.)]
[Action] XD Oh right, look who I'm talking to.
She sounds a bit breathless when she says:] There we go. All better.
[Action] GET OUTTA HERE ELLE (I'm kidding)
enjoys the feeling of Grune's boobsturns a little red, though she is largely grateful.]Y...yeah. Thanks. [...] Hey!
[That last part isn't directed at Grune. It's directed at where her bag is still floating in the air, slowly beginning to drift away. She squirms and attempts to get out of Grune's grip so she can go chase it.]
[Action] Giving Grune tribbles would be a baaaaaaaaaad idea....
Oh, my. Your bag is floating away!
[She giggles.]
[Action] Luceti would be crushed.
in the boobies.]Yes, and I need it back, so put me down!
[Float, float, float, goes the bag....]
[Action] Maybe we can give them to the Third Party instead.
[Sloooowly she sets down her friend and starts ambling after that escaping bag.]
[Action] It's the only logical solution.
[Action] This is the way the world ends: Not with a bang but a lot of cooing and squeaking
Here you are, Fenimore. I caught it for you!
[Action] There are worse ways to go.
...Thanks, Grune. [She reaches out to take it, but is distracted when the no longer invisible ghost comes up behind her and flips her skirt so high that it obscures her vision temporarily. Good thing it's just Grune here.]
[Action] Probably most of the people in Luceti have already encountered them.
My, that wasn't very nice.
[Action] ...Sadly true.
Fenimore does appreciate the help with her skirt, but once it is back in place, her first action is to throw the grocery bag at the ghost, who dodges it easily and laughs. That's more like it!
...Those groceries are not going to be in very good shape when the get brought home, are they.]
[Action] Luceti: We Know Apocalypses
Fenimore, that wasn't very nice, either.
[Action] Though the riders of the apocalypse have to deal with 50% power.
[Ugh, she probably broke the eggs didn't she? She stomps over towards the bag, trying to ignore the ghost.]
[Action] Would that be an advantage for us or them?
But everyone deserves to be treated nicely. It's the right thing to do.
[Action] I guess it would be an advantage for whoever was weaker.
[Action] So that would be most of the residents, then.
[Action] ...Probably, come to think of it.
